Contrad’s involvement in dermatology is rooted in the wider Group’s experience working with specialist physicians across Eastern Europe. The portfolio includes a medicinal product used in the management of psoriasis, atopic dermatitis and seborrhoeic dermatitis, providing a strong foundation in the medical promotion of chronic and recurrent skin conditions.

Contrad is now broadening this focus to include hair and scalp health.

Hair loss represents a field of particular interest, especially where products address a clearly identified cause, condition or patient group and can be positioned through dermatologists and other qualified specialists.

Current areas of interest include:

• Chronic inflammatory and recurrent dermatoses
• Psoriasis, atopic dermatitis and seborrhoeic dermatitis
• Different forms of hair loss and associated scalp conditions
• Non-steroidal options suitable for repeated or longer-term use

Contrad looks for products with an identifiable place in clinical practice, a convincing benefit–risk profile and evidence based on relevant dermatological outcomes. Clinical data should be sufficiently robust to support specialist education and clear medical positioning.
